The Divine Flow is the effortless current of God’s guidance, aligned with His will, that carries your life into its thriving space. It is not void of work—but it is void of unnecessary striving. This week introduces the concept and invites participants to examine where their life may be out of sync with God’s flow.
Lesson Objectives
By the end of this week, participants will:
Understand what the “Divine Flow” is from a biblical perspective.
Identify areas of their life where they are striving versus surrendering.
Learn to recognize God’s invitation into deeper trust and alignment.
Theme: Understanding the Nature of the Divine Flow
Key Scripture: Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Understanding the movements of God's Spirit
Content to Keep in Mind
The Divine Flow Defined
The divine flow is not a formula but a fellowship with God.
God’s guidance is not mechanical but relational (John 16:13).
Example: Abraham was called to a land “he did not know”—but walked in faith (Genesis 12:1–4).
The Barrier of Self-Reliance
Trusting in self is like rowing against the current.
God desires our trust more than our talent (Proverbs 3:5–6).
Flow as an Invitation to Thrive
Jesus came that we may have life more abundantly (John 10:10).
Thriving happens where obedience and grace intersect.
Identifying Striving in Your Life
Reflection Questions (For Personal Study or Journaling)
What does “trusting God with all your heart” look like practically in your current season?
What are 2–3 specific areas where you feel resistance or control that needs surrender?
Write a prayer asking God to help you release control and flow with Him this week.
Let these questions gently lead you into a heart-to-heart conversation and deeper personal insight.
How would you describe the “Divine Flow” in your own words?
What areas of your life feel like striving instead of flowing?
Can you recall a time when you followed God's lead and it brought peace, clarity, or breakthrough?
What keeps people from fully trusting God’s direction?
In what ways can we become more aware of God’s movement in our daily lives?
